Following the tradition of Paris ESF 2003, as well as the WSF in January 2004, a team of 14 women worked on the media coverage of the events of the London ESF 2004. They were from various countries in Europe: France, UK, Croatia, Poland, Bulgaria and Spain. Their objectives were:

To provide a daily coverage of the 4 days of the event (October 14, 15, 16 and 17) on various websites like: Les Pénélopes, Social Rights Bulgaria, Enawa, Neww, etc.
To print a paper version after the end of the ESF with the most distinguished articles.
To reflect the women’s point of view.

The working languages were French and English. The contents in the French and the English edition on one hand, and in the on-line coverage and the magazine on the other hand, was not the same, but it was based on one editorial concept. The on-line versions were released each night, and distributed on a number of mailing-lists in the form of newsletters. The printed edition will be called Digit@ll Futures, a 16-page bilingual magazine.

The initiative is a very important and useful experience for the CEE activists and it provides a larger diversity of points of view in the reportage itself. Christina Haralanova and Maria Velichkova were the only Bulgarians, who attended the ESF – 2004 among the tens of thousands of people, who took part in it. There were also Mathiew Lutfy and Chris Bailey from the Internet Rights Bulgaria Foundation, which formed great representation of the IRBF team.
