12th International Festival Balkan Youth in Sandanski

1,000 entrants from 19 countries in Europe were taking part in the 12th International Festival Balkan Youth which opened in Sandanski, Southwestern Bulgaria, on Wednesday, the 12 of September, organized by the State Youth and Sports Agency (SYSA).

The youth forum took place between September 12 and 17 and is part of the European youth campaign All Different, All Equal. The festival is mottoed: ‚Today’s Balkan Youth, Tomorrow’s European Future.‘

SYSA Chairperson Vessela Lecheva, who opened the festival, said: ‚This traditional event may well become the most significant youth forum in Europe.‘

The event offers an opportunity for young people in the Balkans and in the rest of Europe to get to know each other, exchange information and work together in a variety of fields.

A youth round table have been held, as usual. The theme this year was: Informal Education: A Key Factor for Development and Partnership in the Youth Sector‘ .
