February 2006: International Meeting on Fair Trade Education

Thursday 1 December 2005

The “Fédération Artisans du Monde”, a pioneer association in the field of Fair Trade education in France, is holding, in February 2006, the first international meeting on Fair Trade education on the theme:

"Fair Trade: a pedagogical tool for teaching civic values to young people!”

The meeting will take place from 12th to 18th February 2006 in France (near Lyon) and will bring together sixty people from several different countries (mainly from Europe, Brazil and Quebec).

The meeting is aimed at *volunteers or employees* with experience in running youth education projects under the banner of Fair Trade education (for example, field workers, people in charge of educational projects, etc.)

Such people should be members of Fair Trade organizations, development education NGOs or educational establishments dealing with Fair Trade).

If you would like to attend this event, it is essential that you return the enclosed application form by e-mail before 20th December 2005.

The limited number of available places means that we will have to choose between candidates.

Thus, candidates must:

- within their organization be actively involved in Fair Trade educational projects.
- be available for the full duration of the meeting (from 12th to 18th February 2006).
- be interested in establishing international partnerships* in Fair Trade education (FTE).

In order to receive the full set of documents, including an application form, please contact Céline Bernigaud , Projet Education, Fédération Artisans du Monde
