Internship: Next Page Foundation, Bulgaria

Next Page Foundation, an international organization that supports publishing and translation and development of book markets in transitional countries, is seeking an intern to assist in the management and support of projects.

Specifically, we are looking for someone to:

 Assist in management of the “East Translates East” project

  1. Development of a communication network
  2. Sponsoring of a mobility program
  3. Establish partnership for policy-related activities
  4. Preparation, distribution and processing of grant applications and awards

 Assist in management of the VORBA (Viable Opportunities for Romani Book Access) Project

  1. Conduct research
  2. Monitor and screen relevant news, information, and funding opportunities
  3. Provide administrative support (grant applications, event planning etc.)

 Provide office administrative and technical (web-site) support

The ideal candidate is an undergraduate or graduate student with an interest in working for an NGO. The candidate should have experience or an interest in the field of books or publishing. Applicants should be organized, mature, good project managers and be enthusiastic about making a difference in the publishing sector. Knowledge of English is required, along with basic computer skills. Additional proficiency in html and web-development is a plus.

We offer you academic credit or compensation and a chance to gain valuable international experience in the non-profit sector, along with training and network building.
