Youth for youth – combat HIV/AIDS

I would like to announce Regional Strategy Meeting "YOUTH FOR YOUTH – COMBAT HIV/AIDS" that will take place in Croatia, Varazdin, 2nd-5th June 2005.

Objectives

 To provide an opportunity to establish contacts and partnerships among youth leaders in a field of HIV (4 youth leaders from each country: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro)
 To create a regional youth strategy to fight HIV/AIDS among the youth
 To identify potential partners in the region and each respective country (WHO, UN, UNAIDS, ECCO, UNFPA, UNESCO, WB)
 To present National strategies that are used in fight against HIV/AIDS
 To provide space for developing common ideas, fields of work and interests for future projects,

Participant Profile

 be a citizen of citizenship of the country in the SEE region: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, Macedonia, Romania, Serbia and Montenegro;
 age 20-29;
 active engagement (minimum 2 years) in fighting HIV/AIDS in one of following fields: Health; Education; Harm Reduction and Sex worker field; Poverty Reduction or Human Trafficking; Journalism,
 in a position to develop new project and implement the SEE regional strategy.

We encourage HIV+ youth to apply for the RSM.

Application procedure and selection of participants

All those interested in attending must return the application form together with CV (max. 2 pages), either by fax or e-mail by the 6th of May 2005 at the latest.
