BRUSSELS / EUOBSERVER - European women have overtaken men in their Internet take-up, a report published on Monday (14 February) suggested.
The elderly are also improving their computer skills, while the poor still lag behind.
The report, conducted by the European Commission, suggests that education, income and age remain the crucial categories, in defining differences in "e-inclusion" among Europeans.
According to the paper, based on the data from 2003, over half of the population from the 15 old member states use a computer.
This compares with about 30% of citizens in the ten countries joining the EU last year. ... Full Article on EUObserver
